- The Rough Water Swim
All rough water swim participants will receive a cool hooded PHP & Swim sweatshirt, free Pipe’s Cafe lunch and the opportunity to participate in the famous PHP & Swim raffle. Lot’s of race categories and awards!
All net profits from the race are used to support ocean and water activities for San Diego area youth.
- One mile swim race will start at the river mouth and finish in front of the Powerhouse
- Race check in at Powerhouse Park opens at 6:30 AM and closes promptly at 7:30 AM.
- Swimmers will walk North on beach from Powerhouse Park to river mouth for start of race.
- Race is one way (straight line) swimming south from river mouth back to Powerhouse Park.
- Wetsuits may be worn but swimmers will not receive place awards
- Del Mar Lifeguards will provide safety for swimming race
- Awards given to top 3 in each category (5 year age groups)
- Entry includes cool hooded sweat shirt and Pipe’s Cafe lunch!
